MTU Error while xbox live connection with wired connection

I have recectly got my xbox sli, 250 GB modded. I have Hitachi Drive. But it is not playing Kinect, as required update. When I try to connect, it is erroring out with

MTU Error

Unplug the power from the router or modem for 30 seconds. Reconnect the power. and wait another 30 seconds.

But I did tried all these and still not working. Earlier trying wireless, no luck, switched to wire, still no luck. changed my router to new one, still no luck. seems something got changed during mod. Kindly help

What kind of mods is it? Disc Drive or an RGH/JTAG? When I first tried to get Live with my Xbox I also got MTU errors, the number has to at least be 1364 ( I think, it's been forever ago). So you'll more than likely have to change the MTU to that or higher. You can find plenty of guides with google i'm sure.

I am not sure about Mod, its 250 GB Slim box with Hitachi drive. MTU setting I did tried changing it from default which was 1500 much higher than 1364. And my connection was working perfectly fine before mods.

Did tried couple of other places for internet access with no luck. Guys please help to resolve this error or tell me some other ways to connect my Kinect and update the software without loosing mods

Plug your Kinect in, if it asks you to update the firmware say yes and it will update the Kinect. You will not loose any mods regardless of which one you have done.

If you need the Kinect data install the latest system update here: https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...60-dashboard-update-2-0-15574-0-download.html only do this if your console is flashed however.

thanks, but can I know what could have caused this MTU error which is holding me to connect online.
And I am not too sure about what kind of mods has been done, any way to find this out. As I have hitachi drive on xbox slim.

Its a networking problem, could be your ISP or even a configuration problem on the router.

As for the type of mod you should know that, it really is a basic thing you would have been told by who ever modded your console. I presume you are playing burned games from the DVD drive, if so your console is flashed.

If your console has been RGH hacked then you can not go on Xbox Live with the mod enabled.
