Resident Evil 5 Demo Download

Hi guys, I thought I was pretty competent with computers, but I can't get this to work for the life of me

So I have downloaded the torrent, and I am using ImgBurn, could somebody do a ridiculously simple walkthrough? That borders on offensivey simple? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, wasted about 6 discs.

I'm using Woolies 4.6 GB dvd-r's by the way.

As I had ImgBurn installed I’ve just had a look and it doesn’t seem to keep the folder structure when you burn something.

Check on the DVD’s you have burned and make sure you have the folder structure in this screenshot.

What does/doesn’t work? Do you get a mixed media cd or is it just not recognised at all.

This game has pretty good graphics and the chick is pretty hott too hahaha.

But for some reason it just takes forever to load the game.... much longer than other games. Could it be because I used Windows Vista's burner to burn it? Or maybe because I dont have a hard drive for my 360.

I'll check out other threads as well

It takes a really long time for me also. I burned a CD with Nero in XP, and it takes much longer than any other game/demo I've ever played. The video cuts out a lot at the beginning, and it seemed to take 3+ minutes for the game to finally load from the dashboard.

Talking to some friends, all in agreement is to use DVD -/+R rather than CD-R. I used DVD+R and it loads and plays just fine.

Hey everyone, I tryed burning this twice to CD-R using Sonic and had problems. Pulled a old cd I got with my burner that had Nero 7 on it , Installed it and burned content file to a DVD-R. Popped it in the old Xbox 360, AND IT WORKED!!! If you don`t have Nero Burning Software on your comp,You can find Nero 6 online using Yahoo search. Make sure and use a DVD-R and your good to go. Many Thanks to Nutty (InsaneNutter) Without him uploading files, This wouldn`t be possible. AWESOME Demo!

Ok, i burned it to a DVD-RW, and the files are all there, when i put it in the 360 it says Mixed Media Disc, but when i go to demos, the game does not appear there. I did everything right, maybe it's cause i used Roxio to burn the disc? Can someone help?

Like I said.... I was using Sonic and it wasn`t working. Look online and find a free copy of Nero 6. Download it, Install it. Burn content file inside the Resident Evil 5 Demo Xbox360 (Digiex.net) file to a DVD-R and you should be good to go Dude....

damnit, I wasted hours today to try to get this to work.

I downloaded the latest version of Nero . (fully functional trial version)

Burned the file exactly as described in first post.

I used normal burning method, not the default "multisession" method. would it make a difference ? It shouldnt.

I used a Fujifilm DVD R

And still get the stupid "mixed media" message.

For the people that got it to work, can you explain everything. What kind of DVD R did you use ? Did you use multisession or no ?

Seems like only half or less then half the people here got it to work. What are we doing wrong ? My 360 is not modded at all.

EDIT : nevermind it works.. It still says "mixed media" in the CD area..but if you go to Games Library, the demo shows up there.

Do everything as I described and it'll work for u.

Is it normal to be disconnected from XBL when playing this game ? Even when "appearing offline" , It still will say "Disconnected from Xbox live" when trying to play.

Did they included that function on the software...or maybe its something new Microsoft is doing to try to detect us ?

You will find it the Game Library area (in Japanese writing), not in the Demos area. Yes, the disc tray it shows mixed media, don't click on that, it won't do anything.

Thanks for the Demo it was Awesome but now i'm having trouble starting the Demo it gives me some kind of Error saying: (cant start Resident Evil 5 Demo). worked fine yesterday any ideas whats wrong?

Does anyone know where i can get a serial key for Nero 6 or 7. I don't have any of them, and the Nero 9 trial takes forever to install, i've been trying to find one for an hour or so now but no luck.

Thanks for the confirmation. I used a CD-R to burn as well.

I think Vista's built-in burner should work fine

I've tried burning using two different kinds of media (Maxell DVD-Rs and Verbatim DVD-Rs) using Nero 7, and I get the demo in my "Recent Games" section, but when I try to play it, it just fades to a black screen for a second or two and then tells me it's unable to play it. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Disconnect your ethernet cord from 360, reboot 360 and try again. Same thing happened to me. Dont be connected at all to XBox live.

Im pretty sure microsoft is doing something to try to nerf the demo lately.

I just tried today and got the same error. The fact you said it was working made me think MS changed something.

I signed out of all profiles and tried again, game loaded NP.

Give that a whirl.
