update early dash

Hi all I am looking for some help I have aquired an xbox360 on a very early dash 2.0.2868 and want to modify it but dont know how to update it any help would be great.

What modification do you want to do? if you want to do the Jtag hack simply do it and dont update the console. If all you want to do is flash the DVD drive, update the console then flash the DVD drive.

You can update the console by simply connecting to Xbox Live, playing a new game or using a USB memory stick and the update here.

Be warned if you update the console you will not be able to do the Jtag hack however.
