What will the kinect update do for my flashed console ?

Hi ...
I have a xbox360 Arcade pro Console It have the new dashboard and it's flashed .
I realy don't now what is the disc drive
I will buy a kinect , so i am asking what would the kinect update do when i put a kinect game For my flashed console Because I had a DVD rom Stucked last time i updated my consoleand paid 150$ For new DVD-rom
Hint : (Not a dashboard update , the small one)]

Please I need answer quickly guys

Well, first of all, a new 360 DVD drive isn't anywhere near $150, you got ripped off. Second of all, the Kinect dashboard isn't going to do anything to your console. It's recommended you update your DVD drive's firmware so you don't get banned (or rather, less likely-hood of you getting banned)

If you're already banned though, update away, it won't do anything.

I should clarify--the Kinect Update isn't the most recent one. If you're talking about getting the latest dashboard update, it may render your DVD drive broken. This however, can easily be fixed, provided you know how and have the tools to do so.

Well....

When i got the new dvd rom The person that fixed it said don't connect to live so you will got banned .
So i didn't go online since that happened and i realy don't know if i got banned or not !! And i have the lt+ 1.8
I will get the Lt+1.9 !! So i won't get banned and the update won't do anything for my console ???
