Xbox 360 back up my dashboards i have 6 different versions across my netwrok of boxes

OK i have about 6 different versions of xbox 360 dashboards.


I want to back them all up to either a usb drive or a cd/dvd disc

Is there a way of doing it? Can i do it withjust using the xbox 360 itself?

Do i have to do any soldering? Do i need any more equipment or can i just plug in a wire?

I have something called junle flasher, i have a USB to sata cable and ive tried plugging the sata cable into the motherboard but it will not do anything. (will not reconise it so i cannot assign it as a port nor will the jungle flasher reconise the usb connection.)

You can dump the nand on the Xbox 360, however that requires soldering. Even then the backup is pretty much useless as if you update the console you will not be able to downgrade it.

Why do you want to backup the dashboards? we have the actual systems updates for the majority of them here.

How do i do this? do i have to buy anything like chips boards etc? The dashboards i have are at the end of my post.

I have read somewhere that you can delete the current dashboard which takes it back to 2.0.1888.0 but has no front end (or something to that effect) and you can reinstall another dashboard as far as i can tell.

Why do you want to backup the dashboards?

I have a banned xbox and i want to find the best dashboard to have on their (least amount of blocked online live spaces and as new as i can so it works everything properly)

Also i am thinking of trying out some things that may end up blocking my other xboxs, so i want a back up so i know anything that changes the xbox OS can be reverted back to normal. (including a complete homebrew xbox OS which i have opend a new thread asking about)

Im also a bit weary of downloading items from the internet that are not from somewhere official like forums or torrent sites (although i do when necessary but i have a boxed off OS and partion to house things incase of malicous content)

Nope you cant, when you update the Xbox 360 it blows an efuse, meaning you cant downgrade the console back to an earlier dashboard.

When a console is banned that's it, your not using any of the online services, plus you have to update the dashboard to play newer games anyway. Update to the latest and use the console offline, thats about all you can do sadly.

As none of the consoles are hacked you have no worry of anything malicious running on the console, it simply would not run an update that as been tampered with.

As InsaneNutter said just download the latest: Xbox 360 Dashboard / System Update 2.0.16747.0 Download With Avatars, the Xbox 360 can not run unsigned code by default, so if anyone had tampered with the dashboard updates they simply would not work.

Update the consoles and enjoy, you can't really pick and choose dashboard updates as the latest games will always require the latest dashboard version.

The only advantage you have at the moment is you can look in to Jtag hacking (only the console on 7371) or RGH hacking some of the others, both are a pretty complex process that will require modchops, experience and a lot of time. It's not really something you can follow a guide for and expect to end up with a working console unless you do a LOT of research before hand.

OK now i understand all that i have a technical question in response, just to see if its possible.

Can i just remove a chip from the motherboard and replace it with a new one (or another from another console, or even a blank one so it can be altered before hand or after is applicable) which would bypass the 'e-fuse'? If so which one?
