If your on a j'tag/rgh console and can't connect to live anyway then is there really any benefits to updating to this dash from 15574 because apart from being able to format and use a 32gb up from 16gb most of the changes seem to be live orientated (as you'd expect tbh)?

And does anyone know what the 'Added: Add new anti-piracy scheme on AP 2.5 and XGD3' update actually does because a lot of people are having trouble playing back ups of newer games as it is right ?

You have to update eventually as newer dashboard support new features e.g. Kinect, and more recently smart glass. Sometimes even things under the hood you wont see.

XGD3 changed how the Xbox 360 discs were partitioned, it basically gave developers access to an extra 1GB of space.

AP.2.5 is an updated anti piracy method to detect if a game been played is legit or a pirated copy, the latest hacked firmware gets around all AP checks now.

But my problem is my console after updating to 2.0.16197.0 with xeBuild_GUI_2085 won't accept systemupdates via usb or cd.
It says when I start my console that I need an update to run kinect.

When I insert usb the system does not react so, I burned It to cd and restarted...same thing.

Any Ideas?

Rename the folder on the usb drive to $ystemupdate and your console should accept the update.
 
Hi Guys,

I have small issue i have xbox 360 modified it works fine but any new games which released like assassin's creed rogue, call of duty advanced warfare etc are not working sometimes it's disk image error or unrecognized disk but fairly old games are working fine like tomb raider and gta 5. So do you think that i should do this system update to make all games work ? if yes what version of update should i do ? and will updating this will cause any problem to modified Xbox 360 ?

my dashboard version number is 2.0.16203.0

Guys I think I am stupid to ask this question (I am pretty new to xbox) I got my Xbox 360Slim RGH. Can I update this Avatar? Is it possible?
 
Yes but only install the system update which is the same version as what your RGH is currently on, this will only install the avatar data then. If you install a newer update you will update the console on break your RGH.

by the way , Which one is the newest version of Avatar?
 
Don't do it as you don't want a broken console.

You need to look under system settings on your RGH console and find out what dashboard / system version you are on.
