Should be but not. Everytime I go to run the update I get an E66 error....
Acording To Your Statement BonezOz, You Can Get It Replaced For Free At http://myservice.xbox.com/ , Please Go There And Sign In With Your Windows Live ID. Then Register Your Console If You Haven't Already Done So. Then Click Submit A Repair And Use The Options To Choose Problem Updating Console And E66 Error. Then Follow The Instructions.

E66: DVD Drive Error - Dvd drive pairing failure: DVD model, or version does not match that of the version expected by the dashboard. OR the firmware version on the drive is older then the firmware version expected by the dashboard. Make sure the DVD drive is of the same version originally included with the console and that it is using either the original firmware included with the console or newer. if drive can eject, read, and write under windows but errors on console, replacing original firmware should fix issue.

i have a problem..
Got a banned box and i updated the dash to 13145beta...but now i like to update to 13146 'couse need kinect and got an error (0099 - modded) when i try it from usb. I have my key but my orig bin is not the stock one.
Is there any way to update???

Sorry if this is aa n00bish question, but I have a Jtagged xbox. Can i update it or will it mess up things?

Never update a Jtag with a normal XBL update or your jtag will be back to retail ( non-jtag ) .

You have a Jtag right . Don't update , just wait for a freeboot version of the dashboard .

I dash 2.0.13142 .0beta if you do install the final version updat and I will be reset and the dvd-rom?

Hi when the update flashes the drive does it flash the dvd key from the xbox back on to it if it is lost or wrong or does it flash the key that is currently on the drive.

it flashes the drive with updated firmware(you cant play burnt games) & it has extra security on the key

At a guess it would flash the key stored in the 360's nand, however if your drive has no key i don't know if it will actually let you complete the update or not. Best thing would be to try it.
