if someone flashed the xbox 360 for you i recommend them doing it
but if you want to do it your self you need
-probe-this is for extracting key (depends on which dvd drive you have)(either build one or buy one for about $15)
-via 6421a pci card ($10)
-jungle flasher tutorial (download) (look through this to see if you think you can do it)

people that are on 599 dashboard with LT+ 1.9 or LT+ 2.0 need not to panic. Just simply extract the systemupdate folder into any USB and let the Box updated. All backedup games run just fine. This noon I updated to 604, everything is fine.

You can update to the latest dash with lt 2.0.It doesn't reflash your console.

Long story short: I've been off the Xbox 360 flashing scene since Oct 2009 when I got banned.

I am banned and I haven't updated iXtreme since July 2009 (I have iXtreme 1.6) and I just want to play the new XGD3 Games, such as BF3, Skyrim.

My question is:

Should I flash back to stock firmware then update dashboard 2.0.12625.0 to 2.0.13604.0 (using USB), and then flash to LT+2.0?
Or do I not need to flash back to stock, and can update dashboard (using USB) and then flash to LT+2.0?

Just run the 13604 update, that should flash your console back to stock, however it can fail causing your console to get stuck when booting.
If that happens you will need to manually flash back to stock for the update to finish, after that you can flash to LT+ 2.0.

Thats not something anyone else will know, to remove it you can try going to:

System settings > consoles settings > system info

On the system info screen press:

Left Trigger
Right Trigger
X Button
Y Button
Left Bumper
Right Bumper
Up On Dpad
Y Button
Y Button
X Button

Then reset your settings when asked.

the only way to know is to hook your drive to a pc or by playing different types of games
you need to get your key
flash to stock firmware
update to the latest dashboard
flash to lt+ 2.0
refer to the jungleflasher guide

hi, new here, so whats the deal with updating the dvd drives firmware? i flashed mine once a really long time ago pre 9199 dashboard, is there a need to update it with jtagged consoles? is there an app to install onto a jtag that can flash it? and whats the proper order i think it was listed 2 different ways in this thread?

If you have a Jtag you dont really need to update the DVD firmware unless you actually use the DVD drive to play games.

There is no app to update it on a Jtag (would be handy i know!) just follow the latest Jungle Flasher tutorial if you really want LT+ 2.0 on your Jtag.

Hello all
I did this update and avatars are restored, and everyting working fine, except for Kinect (which worked pre-update). The system keeps telling me to update when I insert the Kinect in the usb. I haven't adtivated the update, the system requests, when I insert the Kinect, as I am unsure whether it is safe or not.
Any takers, is the update for Kinect safe to accept?

Just got both my boxes updated/flashed today. But he left my dash at 2.0.13146.0. Can I run the update without fear of having to re-flash? Thanks in advance.

the update before this one might fail updating so you need to flash to stock,update,then flash to latest lt+

When I was unzipping Dashboard update 2.0.13604.0.zip I received this error:

Nm, I just ended up doing the Xbox live update instead.
