Xbox live question

I have an Xbox Live account as Dogrules23. Last night, I connected my Xbox 360 to the internet and it made me create a new Xbox Live account and I made my Gamertag Dogrules24. My question is, can I log out of my new Xbox live account and log in to my older one? If I can, how would I do that?

( i don't,have a Xbox live account and i cannot confirm you that it will work. i just try a guess ) you can log in your profile from the last option of sign in menu that's say download profile.

Thanks, I thought I'd have to delete my profile on the system and make a new one. I'll try your idea when I get home.

Do you know the email address and password of the Microsoft account that profile is associated with? if so you can simply sign in on the Xbox 360 and download that profile.

I believe you press the guide button, press sign in for the profiles, then you will see an option to download a profile.

To sign out, first of all, press the guide button on your controller. Then, just press X and confirm. Then, you can just press X again once you've signed out to sign back in. Just select your Dogrules23 account. If you haven't set it to remember your password, you may need to input that when signing in, but otherwise it will just sign in and you're all good.
