Hopefully that is of help to people having problems updating.

What do you mean blocklist?
This update is to be released in stages. Not all xbox consoles receive the update at the same time, this is so if a bug is discovered like the console not working after update all xbox 360 consoles won't be affected. It might take a few days before your console can connect to live again.

More info from major nelson.
Many of you have been involved in the 2012 Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta and have been busy getting an early look at the latest Xbox LIVE features. Today we’re starting to roll out the official release of the update to Xbox LIVE subscribers around the world. To ensure a stable release, this will be a gradual deployment across subscribers and regions over the course of the next week. Our initial deployment will reach approximately three million consoles worldwide, with additional users being updated over the course of a couple weeks. Don’t panic if you don’t see an immediate update, just keep checking back in.

Please be aware that Console updates is sent by batch not to everyone even though we have officially launched the Dashboard to the public. If your console is not part of that said batch you will not be able to connect to Xbox Live until your console has been sent the update on Xbox Live.

Thanks :)

to be honest the windows in this dashboard became larger more taller and it covers more the screen from being able to see open wide your themes.thats the only thing i dont like.cant they make for once the dashboard windows smaller to have a whole open area for you to enjoy seeing your own themes?

*major bug in this dashboard ive replicated it on 4 console same effect scrolling to extras how you normally do on game marketplace causes the console to lockup pernamantly i think it only arised when it whent public maybe before as i didnt use extras

Can not connect to xbox live with this update ,
I need help
some form of return to the previous update to connect again ?

xbox support says it will have to wait until 23 to repair consoles updated with this file, no update from here

As stated in the first post in RED text you will be able to connect to Xbox Live when your console is sent the update from Xbox Live, this will probably be a few days, until then just play some single player games.
