Burning Xbox 360 XGD3 ISO games is easy, once you know how. A lot of people seem to have problems with the newer XGD3 game discs which have been used since late 2011. The only way to correctly burn these larger XGD3 Xbox 360 ISO's is by using the BurnerMAX Payload Tool and a compatible DVD drive.

To get started burning Xbox 360 XGD3 ISO's you first need to download:
Once you have done that load IMGBurn up with your blank DVD-DL disc in your compatible DVD burner.

You should see the following, at this moment in time we are just taking note of the disc free space, which is 8,547,991,552 bytes:

Open the BurnerMAX Payload Tool, select the DVD drive you are using to burn the Xbox 360 ISO, then select burner max:

You should then see the patching taking progress, allowing the full sized XGD3 Xbox 360 ISO to be burned:

BurnerMAX Payload Tool - Version: 0.15

Found 2 CD/DVD drives D: E:

BurnerMAX not enabled, YET !
Scanning: E:\ [TSSTcorpCDDVDW SH-S223F SB00]

L0: 0x8E75
L1: 0x8657

L1: 0x8E71

Patching: ..................
BurnerMAX IS enabled !
Free Space: 8,738,897,920 bytes

Now go back to IMGBurn and re load the DVD drive. You should see the disc size is now 8,738,897,920 bytes

This means you can now burn the full Xbox 360 XGD3 ISO and the burn process will not fail at 97%.

Be aware you will need to use the BurnerMAX Payload every time you insert a blank DVD+R DL disc.

Not all DVD burners are compatible with the BurnerMAX Payload, however below is a list of DVD drives confirmed working with the BurnerMAX Payload. If your DVD drive is not on the list, I have no idea if it will work. You will just need to try and see if it does.

Yes,For example I burnt NBA 2K17 and GOW Judgment and both of them work fine..

which are your imgburn settings? I have SH-S223F too, but everybody says about Lite-On configs.
i'm burning with differents settings, using MKM-001, but no good results.
Fifa 17 even starts (Unauthorized disc).
Farcry 4 crash during the installation (it opens the game screen).

Hello, I tried a lot of tutorials to burn xgd3 games but all does't work. I have a Hitachi v78 drive with LT+3.0 on my xbox 360. I burned the games with verbatim dvds but I always get a "dirty disc" error.
I pass the iso througt abgx360, then run BurnerMAX (detects correctly the burner), and then burning the game with ImgBurn (Tried CloneCD too)

For example:

NeverDead -> Can play some chapters but in some point of the game a get the error. Tried to install the game and got the error at 52%. Tried burning the game again (downloaded from other site) and exactly the same problem at the same point (ingame and on installation).
Lost Planet 3 -> Installation fails with the "dirty disc" error. (don't remember if the game launched).
Zone of the enders -> "Dirty disc" on launching the game and at the begining of the installation.

I don't know if it is a problem with my Hitachi drive, the dvds, the burner... I don't now what's wrong

Could be the Hitachi drives laser failing. Can you fully install XGD3 games you have burned in the past?

Can you install any legit games?

Hi, thanks for your answer. A friend gave me his xbox360 about 2 weeks ago, then I flashed the Hitachi drive. All the xgd2 games that I burned installs without errors. I tried with xgd3 original games and works fine and installs perfectly. I only have problems with the xgd3 games that I burned.

As original games seem fine it could possibly be the drive burning the games with that in mind, is the drive you are using on the compatible list in the first post?

Could also be the quality of the media are the Verbatim discs defiantly genuine?

If you still have no luck all I can really think to suggest is trying a different discs or possible a different drive to burn with.

Hi, I found my old laptop and it has the TSSTcorp TS-L633J that is on the list. I burned NeverDead again and same problem. This DVDs are verbatim made in Arab Emirates (MKM-003-00). I will try with another brand cause this it's really strange.

Good news! I bought this "cheap" HP dvds on Amazon and I burned NeverDead again. Tried to install and works, 100%. I could finish the game. Then I burned Zone of the enders and it installed 100%. Finally I burned Lost Planet 3 and again installed 100%. So seems that the problem were the Verbatim Dvds. Thanks for your help.
