If you've got a hacked 3DS or 2DS and want to see what's really on it, GodMode9 is the file manager to have. It runs at boot with full access to the SD card, the NAND, game cartridges and cartridge saves. People use it to make and restore NAND backups, dump games and saves, install titles, run scripts, and bring back a console that won't boot. It's by d0k3 and contributors.

Download:

Download GodMode9 2.2.3

Getting it running:

  1. With the console off, copy GodMode9.firm to /luma/payloads on the SD card, and the gm9 folder to the root of the card. It only starts on a console with custom firmware such as Luma3DS.
  2. Turn the console on while holding START and GodMode9 opens.
  3. Press the HOME button for the action menu, and use the Scripts menu for the bundled scripts.

Don't use it until you have a NAND backup of your own. Run the NAND backup option first.

Tip: GodMode9 asks for an unlock sequence before it lets you write to anything important, so read each prompt properly rather than tapping through. If you're after GBA saves, the guide 3DS GBA Save Backup and Restore with GodMode9 walks through it, and the project page is https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9.
