hekate is the bootloader to reach for if you want a proper menu on a hacked Switch. CTCaer's creation boots custom firmware such as Atmosphère, sets up and boots emuMMC, backs up and restores the console's NAND, and can boot Linux and Android too. Nyx is its touch-friendly interface. This is hekate 6.5.4 with Nyx 1.9.4.

You'll need Atmosphère itself and a way to get into RCM mode.
Tip: do the NAND backup before anything else and keep a copy on your PC. If you have a 3DS as well, Luma3DS is the one for that. Project page: https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate

- Copy the contents of the zip to the root of the SD card, so the bootloader folder sits at the top.
- Send hekate_ctcaer_6.5.4.bin to the console in RCM mode, or use it as the payload for Atmosphère (reboot_payload.bin).
- From the hekate menu use Tools to back up the NAND before changing anything, then Launch for your boot entries.
