Atmosphère is the open-source custom firmware for the Nintendo Switch. It runs alongside the stock system software and adds homebrew support, emuMMC (a separate copy of the system on the SD card), cheats and themes, and lets you patch and extend the console. This is version 1.12.0, from SciresM and contributors.

Setting it up:
Going online with a hacked console can get it banned. The safest way is to keep it offline, or to use emuMMC.

Setting it up:
- Copy the contents of the zip, except fusee.bin, to the root of the console's SD card.
- Put the Switch in RCM mode and send fusee.bin to it with a payload injector or from a PC. You need a console with the unpatched exploit, or a modchip. You can also load Atmosphère through hekate.
- On first boot the console starts in custom firmware. Reboot it normally to get back to the stock system.
