Attempting to move game save to new 360-s 250gb HDD from 20gb

Hi all
I have a shiny new Halo Reach Xbox with a 250 GB HDD
I want my game saves from my 20gb hdd on it, i have the transfer cable and xport and xplorer
i have removed the 250 from the xbox and connected it to an old hdd case so i can plug it into my transfer cable
What program is best to use to swap the data over and will it cause a problem

I have attempted to copy all of partition 3 from the 20gb to my pc but when i do the content folder i get a message saying "hdd" (the name of the folder i'm sending to) has stopped working


I really dont want to mess anything up my new hdd
And before i get a torrent of people saying just use the transfer cable with your new xbox etc ... you need a software disc that i dont have, cant find it for download and dont want to pay MS £15 for

All sorted , i am now playing reach on my new console with my old save and GT
I just had to move each folder in content individually then it all worked , i think the huge size of the content folder freaked the laptop out a bit !

just buy a 16gb or 8gb usb and transfer the stuff with that
