Yes the file is on the digiex server. The reason why this was allowed was because it was leaked before it was even aired on TV and they were already uploaded to the server before it was even aired. Though now those episodes have been aired already right? If so then their is really no reason to post it as it would now be consider Warez. Maybe if they were uploaded and posted before they were aired they would of been a nice addition.
 
What Hoffman posted technically isn't warez since the creators haven't charged for those episodes yet in a DVD set and they were free to watch on TV. It was also more like an early release of sorts, like releasing a private Beta early for everyone else to download.

Is Futurama Season 6 not just the 4 movies split up in to episodes anyway? So really its nothing new and has been available on DVD / Blu-ray for at least a year.

Basically as has already been mentioned The 24 episodes were allowed as they leaked a few days before they were aired on American TV, at the time it was not possible to view or buy the episodes even if you wanted to. It was quite a big thing at the time as everyone wanted to know how the series ended.

Now the episodes have aired on TV and are sold on iTunes, DVD and Blu-ray I should really remove them.

Actually these episodes are the official start to season 6 and not related to the movies. I've already seen the first one and it was quite good. Hopefully the second one will also be as good. It's great to have the show back :D

Thats great news, I never watched them thinking the episodes were just the movies cut up in to multiple episodes. I shall have to watch them :D
