    Hello to the community ☺️

I'm asking for your advice regarding a problem with the Bluetooth/voice control/hands-free kit system on a December 2012 Ford C-Max 1.6 TDCI Duratorq.

Without any real intervention on the vehicle, overnight, the Bluetooth detection system for smartphones, the associated hands-free kit, and the voice control (right-hand paddle on the multifunction steering wheel) simply stopped working.
The only thing I can still do is enable or disable Bluetooth in the phone selection menu. However, none of the phones appear in the vehicle's menu, and my wife's and my smartphones no longer detect "FORD Audio" via the phones' Bluetooth.
This has worked for over 12 years without any issues.

The following work has already been done:

    - Disconnected the battery / waited 20 minutes / reconnected the battery

    - Removed the affected fuse for 10 minutes in the passenger compartment control unit (BCM) at the rear of the glove box / replaced the fuse

    - Tested the diagnostic tool / no faults present

    - Disconnected the Bluetooth module and opened it to inspect the circuit board and its components / at first glance, nothing burnt out or blackened
(I also checked the menu when the module is disconnected; the only difference is that Bluetooth cannot be activated or deactivated.)

    - Resistance measurement on the diagnostic socket between the different channels :

HighSpeed CAN multimedia bus: 61.8 Ohms (measured value: 60 Ohms)
HighSpeed CAN main bus: 61.2 Ohms (measured value: 60 Ohms)
MediumSpeed CAN main bus: 61.2 Ohms (measured value: 60 Ohms)

We can therefore see that the termination resistance between the different channels is perfect; no module is defective.

    - I also measured the resistance of the "CAN high" and "CAN low" wires between the diagnostic port and the module connector:

CAN high > Terminal 1 of the diagnostic port - Terminal 14 of the black 54-pin connector = 0.3 Ohms
CAN low > Terminal 8 of the diagnostic port - Terminal 15 of the black 54-pin connector = 0.3 Ohms

    - I also measured the module ground resistance - also 0.3 Ohms.

I also tried a SYNC system reset following the Ford procedure (without success):
    https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/troubleshooting/how-do-i-reset-the-sync-system/

The problem is that I can't find out which version of SYNC I have :
    https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/getting-started-with-sync/what-sync-version-do-i-have/

So I want to update using Howard's tutorial :

I tried this with four different USB drives and a Sandisk SD card in a USB adapter (format all to FAT32), but every time I connect a USB device, I get this screen that stays stuck: "USB Initializing - Please wait..."

If anyone has any ideas, I'm very interested :D

    Many Thanks in advance,
    Best regards

    Mike
