Got a HD capture card

I have often thought having a capture card would be useful however never bothered to get one. My 360's are not setup next to my PC which would make capturing any video a lot of effort using a capture card that requires a PC to run.

The Avermedia Game Capture HD appeared to slove that problem as it's a standalone product that will work without a PC! Perfect

All you do is connect your console up, plug a USB hard drive in to the usb port (or connect one to the internal drive bay) and away you go. It really is as easy as that. It includes a 3 in 1 cable that will connect to a 360, PS3 and Wii which was nice.

When you have done recording simply connect the hard drive to your PC and copy the video off for editing / uploading.

I have done a little test video basically showing the collection of games on my JPN 360 and a little gameplay of one of them, nothing really interesting to be honest, just for a quality test. (Watch in 720p for best quality)

Ill probably do a proper review someone once ive had it and tested out all the features, just thought i would make a quick post as i have never seen a truly standalone HD capture card before.

Nice InsaneNutter , i have the same one .
I really like the feature that you don't need a computer for it . I just use usb flash drive as a recording drive .
I also tried a 3,5 hdd in it , but it's too much work , because if you want to put the recorded video on your computer, then you need a usb drive anyway .

Indeed the only way i see the internal drive been useful is if it had an ethernet connection, that way you could just go in to network places and copy video off it directly to your PC.

Great device though, does what is says on the box with no trouble.
