ya ive seen that also but so far there has been no proof of ban's so it makes me wonder if they are talking crap to scare people or if they really are going to do it
 
Makes me wonder about the first post of this thread picture also.

It seems like the person played a game that wasn't release yet and played online,like portal 2 or something else.
 
ya thats what I was thinking Pre Release bans (all it takes is a modded console and download a game before its out even offline then you get banned when you log in and the acivhment dates are before the release date) are common made me wonder what game was being played because its not listed, everyone knows anyone can say what they want and it doesn't make it true
 
hahaha.. bullcrap.. MS cannot ban tousends of people, because they play the beta illegal..
so i use the beta.. more then 70% of my friendlist used it..
 
They didn't get the beta a legit way by using a code so they can ban people if they want to,its more money to M$ btw.
 
we never said M$ banning people for it if anything it would be EPIC doing it and ya they can any company can do anything want they if ban a couple thousand people for cheating the beta program so be it (I think they should for the beta only) I don't think it would hurt there sales because people are trying so hard to get in the beta that means they still want the game ;) personally i can care less about the game its one I probly wont buy any ways but with all the people cheating the beta just makes me feel like I wasted my time getting a code for it because whats the point of the beta if every jack*ss and there mom can get in with no work by downloading a program whats the point of even having the codes then. you even seen people on counter strike source that use wall hacks/ auto head target and all the crap those people just ruin the games for the rest of us.

And MS can ban thousands of people look at the Modded consoles that MS has banned and all people do it go out and buy another console and start over if anything all the consoles M$ has banned just made them more money because of people buying them more then once

And yes if you and your friends used the loader to get in the GoW3 beta WITHOUT a code I truly hope you and the 70% of your friends get banned from it and I would laugh even harder if it turned in to a console ban (this is my opinion so if you don't like I don't really care)

As i posted earlier in the thread its from the Forza 3 / modded console bannings back in October 2009

To be honest I think the most that will happen is MS will stop consoles that don't have a licence from been able to play the beta by injecting it in to a USB drive. (apparently thats been done?) however my other console I did not redeem a code on appears to play it fine on a different profile.
 
i don't recall reading that,but i suggest that picture be removed on the first post its very misleading now.
 
I thought everyone knew the risk's with things like this

And as for getting a ban the file was not modified , i think the most will be a reset on full game for those that didn't use a code
 
Hey Nutty, since you're in the code beta, can you go to your memory device and see if the GoW3 beta can be copied onto another memory device.

You can only move it,if you select copy it says this cannot be transferred between devices.
 
i lost one also,i used the one from gamestop.ie than i found out about expertzone and used that also.
 
The codes on Ebay have let you play the beta since last Friday, the ones you can get from retail outlets will not let you play the beta until Monday 25th.
 
Lol I did some more looking around and still can't find anyone banned from the beta for not having a code for it, I think that just ruined a game for me I'm deleting the beta off of my hard drive now and won't even bother re downloading it or buying the game when its released, what's the point when I did everything I could to get a code and so many others just download and do it with out
