Need major assistance!!!

I am desperately trying to get my 360 to work but can't stop running into failed update errors. No matter how many different updates i try from 2.0.16747.0, they all fail. You guys have been way more help to me than xbox thus far, and i hope to get this issue resolved so i can relive the glory days a little. Also, I don't believe my 360 is modded, which really confuses me

What system update is your Xbox 360 on at the moment? and what update error do you get?
