best way is to stay off live as you shouldnt really be going on live with flash so theres really no need at all to update

What makes you think that the security protocols are "insanely picky"? I haven't seen a single report of legit versions of Fable 3 not booting on the Kinect dashboard, just pirated copies. The reason that Fable 3 backups get flagged isn't because of "1 error on the disc". There won't be a class action lawsuit, but there will be plenty of people with flashed consoles whining once the Kinect dash is released to everyone, lol.

Well i have the legit copy of Fable 3 and the kinect dashboard and it wont boot for me so.. I can also say that there isnt a single mark or scratch on my fable 3 dvd but i still get the unreadable disc error. I have no idea why this is happening and im going back to the store where i bougt the game tomorrow to return it.

How'd you make out with that. I've never seen a store take back a game. They might give you another one but never refund.

Out of curiosity is that console flashed? or has that console been flashed in the past?

There is no problems with burned demo discs
but M$ fix the "Free SNK XBLA trick".
