NXE dashboard ruined my 360...

So many years ago the NXE dash was loaded onto my 360 off of a new game (said it was game data)...once loaded, i had the most childish avatar shit and many of my games no longer worked...got microsoft to reimburse me for all of the games but never switched the 360 back on since (maybe 3 years).

So, is there any way to fix the damn thing so i can go back and play my old games?

Never been connected to net, dont care about online gaming...

Are these burned games or legit purchased games?

What happens? does the console not read the game at all? if your console was never modified to play burned game it sounds like the DVD drive might have failed, hard to say without more info.
