Why exactly are you saying your welcome when you did absolutely nothing to help? Its probably a good thing the admin fixed that message, if it would of annoyed me too much you probably would of gotten a UDP flood . If you don't want me commenting on everything you do its rather quite simple, don't spam and if you not totally sure on what your talking about then don't reply leaving people a half-assed answer or an answer that doesn't make sense and if you even say I don't know what your talking about with the spam and half-assed answers I can easily link to multiple threads about what i'm talking about.

Overall, just think before you post, thats pretty much all you need to do and I won't "talk about you" as you put it.

I'm honestly glad he doesn't like me. You can see as pretty much everyone else does that most of the things he says is spam and half the time doesn't make any sense, therefore I usually have to make a reply to correct what he said as he doesn't know anything that he thinks he does and then he thinks I'm just being an ass when actually I'm giving a more definitive or correct answer.

If your 360's disc drive is flashed then you can update to the newest firmware (though a note about this, if you do update to the newest firmware when your 360 is still flashed you have a chance to get banned from Xbox Live, though if you have no desire to go on live then it doesn't matter anyways.) If your 360 isn't Jtagged and you want to Jtag it then you may want to update to 7371 (but its not necessary) but don't update any higher then that.

You can, however not with MS updates as that will blow an e-fuse so there is no way to recover the console.

Hi guys!

Just hoping someone can help me out here... I purchased an old xbox game that is backwards compatible to the 360. My console said that it needed an update to run it and I successfully updated it however, when I tried to play again it ran the same message:

"This original xbox game is not supported on your xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more info, go to Xbox.com | Games Home. X: 5805.0 B: 1884.0" - verbatim.

But to add to my frustration the console recognizes the game and shows the title of the disc!!

Is there anything I can do? I'm not connected to XboxLive so any help would be really appreciated!

The game is probably not backwards compatible with the Xbox 360, have you had a look at the list here: List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to see if the game from your region is compatible.

I've just download the update & put into the CD-R. I put in the disc & 'Mixed media disc' shows up & turn it back on but nothing happens. WHY?!

This is my situation:

My xbox360 is banned and that made my HD Crippled.
So i went to someone who uncrippled it with a mod. Now there's this new Dashupdate, is it safe for me to update? Or will it ruin my xbox?

Did someone else had this same situation maybe?

I'm not sure but at that moment there was a hardware solder mod. And then you needed to change something in the NAND with a hex editor.

Don't know if there are more sollutions to fix it? Except for the dashupdate.

Its been Jtagged, DON'T use this update unless you want to blow up your 360. If your 360 wasn't Jtagged then you could of updated to this firmware to uncripple your drive.

It's not Jtagged caus the console is manufactured later then June 2009 and the Dashboard was newer then 8490.

Hmm, not sure what he did to it. If its not Jtagged I wouldn't see their being a problem updating but I would wait for a better response just to be sure.

You can update fine and your hard drive installs will still work, however im not sure if any games your console saves will be corrupted or not if used with another console.

Thanks for the information. For now i'l wait because the reason to update was because of the USB update. Only now i found out that with the MS Data cable i had i can upload game patches to my HD.
