Got some new fancy video backgrounds. Found some other good ones there as well. You can get free dreamscenes but they contain the websites logo. Not a big deal for me but might be for some.

Heh, is that by the same guy?
I think I remember seeing that one.
    It's pretty cool. :)

By the way, is the dock a standard feature in Vista or did you grab an extension?

Yep it’s by the same guy, I’ve been having a hard time deciding which one I like best.

Vista doesn’t have a dock by default, I’m using the free version of Object Dock.

It does have the sidebar by default, I hide that and just have the notepad gadget on the desktop.

I'm the same, the side bar just tends to piss me off. I have A digital clock, notepad and weather gadgets just placed on my desktop :)

Will post up mine when i actually find a background i like ;)

    EDIT

This may sound like a very noob-esque question, but how might i get dreamscene to work?

    I've forgotten :S

    Cheers

Its only in Vista Ultimate so if you carnt find it that might be why!

Right click on desktop > personalise > desktop background then click the dropdown to the left of the browse button and select a dream scene.

Edit - try this if you have home premium

Cheers for the link InsaneNutter, I've been reading through the comments and people are saying it's slowing their systems down a fair bit, so I might leave it.

    Cheers anyway!

I get all my dreamscenes from here. Hopefully the list will grow thats on Digiex and I'll never half to go back. Except for a few premium dreams. :) Though, I'll post whatever I get here!

It shouldn't be slowing down any systems. Though these aren't supose to be running on a system with a Intel Celeron. Its barly running windows. Couldn't possibly handle running a looping video in the background. If you have a Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core 2 Quad, Or Extreme processor these should run fine. With very little cpu usage, Though if you have a NVIDIA GPU also you can download the NVIDIA PureVideo decoder which will let the GPU do the decoding. Allowing less CPU usage. For those will terrible performance, just use a regular background till you upgrade your computer. As I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and i'm running 10 programs and windows dreamscene (astorids) plus all the other background process running and the cpu usage is between 5-10%

I Keep forgetting how good Halo 3 can look in screenshots. Also that's a screenie that only a few people will have and is personal to you MunkyMagik so goodjob there. If I manage to get one from UT3 I'll see if I can make it into a nice desktop and post it here.
