Turning a PS3 game from a folder into an ISO and back again is what PS3 ISO Tools 2.2 is for. Rudi Rastelli's all-in-one Windows program is made for people who play backups on a PS3 with custom firmware or an ODE. It converts a game in folder format to an ISO and back, splits big ISOs for a FAT32 drive and joins them again, renames ISOs from the game's own PARAM.SFO, and adds the [auto] and [online] tags that webMAN reads. It is built round Estwald's extractps3iso and the genps3iso / makeps3iso tools.

What 2.2 does:
Careful: the functions that re-sign files, such as patching a game or ISO to a lower firmware, need keys that aren't in this download, so they won't work out of the box. Patching changes the game's files, so keep the original folder until the patched game runs. English and German readmes are in the folder. It is a good partner for multiMAN and multiMAN MOD.
Update: 2.2 is the last release. Since then PS3 owners have also gained PS3HEN, and Apollo Save Tool is on Digiex for saves.

What 2.2 does:
- ISO generator: converts one game or a whole folder of games from folder format to ISO, joining split files automatically.
- ISO extractor: converts ISOs back to folders, splitting big files if you ask for it.
- ISO splitter and joiner: make .iso.0, .iso.1 and so on for FAT32 drives, or put them back together.
- ISO modifier: renames ISOs from PARAM.SFO, adds the [auto] and [online] tags, hides parts of split ISOs, and saves the game's PARAM.SFO and ICON0.PNG next to the ISO.
- Version 2.2 itself fixes the patch checkbox, raises the selectable firmware range to 4.76 and adds the [auto] and [online] tags.
- Unzip the download and run PS3_ISO_TOOLS V2.2.exe. The Tools folder has to stay beside it.
- On the main window say which kind of PS3 you have (custom firmware or ODE) and its firmware version, because the program preselects options from it.
- Choose Create ISO
and pick a game folder, or a folder with several games to convert them all in one go. On a FAT32 drive the ISOs are split automatically. - If you use webMAN MOD, copy the [ISO name].SFO and [ISO name].PNG files that the program writes beside each ISO to /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/ so it shows the game icons without mounting each game first.
