The above are the latest compiled versions of Yoti's Pro C2 mod and should be considered stable Yoti stated. Issues with pops (PS1 / PSX) games not loading are fixed which is why most people would probably want to update to this modded version. Some other changes include:

  • Ability to enable or disable VSH menu under Recovery Menu > Configuration > Use VSH menu
  • Hold R to start Fast Recovery
  • Hold L and start FastRecovery
  • Ability to enable / disable parental controls for ISO's
  • Optimized default CFW settings
  • Ability to reset CFW settings

hello, my psp is written on the barcode PSP1001, does that mean that its the 1000 one? and now i installed the 5.50 prometheus so i would install it cause mine is 5.50 GEN-D3. If my psp is 1000, does this custom firmware work on it? and why are there 4 different links, which one should i install? please help.
 
Hi,

I'm currently running the 6.20 PRO B7. I tried to update it to 6.60 but my PSP decided it wouldn't accept the update so I have to stay with 6.20.
When I download your files for 6.20, all the files in my PSP say they are corrupted. Only the permapatch works. But when I select it, it asks me "Are you going to UNinstall the patch?".... so I don't get it anymore...

How do I update from 6.20 PRO B7 to 6.20 PRO C2?

Its been a long time since i updated a PSP, however uninstall the CFW first as its asking you to do, then install the newer CFW version.
 
Thank you so much for still having this post! I wanted to play Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep using the PSP Action Replay... which requires 6.20. I successfully used Chrono and all that to downgrade but then found that my O and X button functionality is switched, which means I need a CFW to edit it. How do I access the VSH menu on C2?
 
Press select on the XBM (PSP's menu screen) and it should bring the VHS menu up.

If not you will have to enable the VHS menu in the recovery. To do this power the PSP off fully (not just so its sleeping) then hold down the R trigger and power the PSP on, you should be able to enable the VHS menu from within there if I remember correctly.
 
so im new to this stuff and am in no way computer savvy i was wanting to mod my psp 2000 and have been watching a tutorial by blaine locklair on yt which led me here but after i click on the
6.61 Firmware PSP - 661-PRO-2015-02-14_MOD-2015-03-33-F it doesnt give me the commpressed file to uncompress and add the "proupdate" file to my psp is there anywhere else i can find that file because i dont want to brick my psp
 
The file you linked to is compressed with 7zip, you will be able to extract the contents by installing 7zip
 
having a problem after installing the 6.60 software now my psp 3001 is stuck loading up and has a white screen with a darkened out box in the center. any way to fix this? it still is able to move around the menu as it makes the noises when clicking around
