Both my xbox and pc are have a wired connection. The only game I got to work was Shadow Complex, an xbox live game. Could it be because the size of the other games are too large to stream?

I think its just down to game compatibility, Halo Reach is a large game and that streams perfectly.

You are setup and confirmed working as Shadow Complex streams, i would just try other games and see if you have any luck.

In its current state i would say this is more of a temp solution if you are low on free space, streaming could improve with future releases however.

I figued it out. I was using the wrong program to extract the iso files. Like an idiot, I used winrar, thinking it would work. It was only extracting half of the files, with no notifications that it didn't extract everything. So when I clicked the default.xex file in connectx, it would pick up half the files, and return to the FSD main screen. I used wx360 to extract and it worked, with all my games.

Is it possible to just connect PC and xbox 360 with eachother, like a bridge, and stream the games? I think it is faster than relaying of a router. Just an ethernet cable from PC to xbox 360.

You can, Ive done it through a router, direct connection, and with just a external HDD. HDD is the best option, IMHO.

I got it to work without password protected sharing in vista (just left user/pwd blank in FSD r725).
The only thing is it is slow to boot up with the plugin... and copying a file in the FSD file manager from ConX folder is much much slower than FTP for some reason.
Think this might be the password issue or something else?

Nope it will not be a password issue, use FTP for copying files, that's the fastest and most optimised.

It worked but the loading times are high as high can go. Final Fantasy XIII takes MINUTES to load the first cinematic, and it plays with stuttering.

The Link Speed is set at 100mbps, could it be that?

I'm using a TP-Link MR3420 and the motherboard is a Gigabyte P55 UD3P capable of 1000mbps through LAN, but no the router (just 100)

    thanks

I set ConX perfectly but the 360 can not see any games in the folder where are my 360 games on my laptop. I extracted all those games with iso2god . Is that should be the problem ? The God format...

Yes it could be, try extracting them so you have just files / folders and see if that works.

Did you set a game path for ConX? As mine are in god format and have no issues over smb.

Wireless G (with good signal strength) would still be faster than random reads off a DVD, the latency wouldn't be terribly different either. Obviously it would be slower than loading off a local HDD, but consider that the 360 is designed to load games off a DVD drive.

Another cool tutorial InsaneNutter. Well done!

Hello InsaneNutter, Ive got this setup and games are streaming but they are extremely slow, especially Halo Reach. I have my 360 and pc connected to a Gig switch/Router. Is there anything I can do to improve load times? thanks

I am getting the same issue, is there a port that needs to be open on the router that could be interfering?

Ensure your PC is not doing anything that involves a lot of reading / writing to the hard drive.

If both the PC and 360 are wired in to the network thats the best connection you will get.

All you can really do is hope the FSD team improve the streaming performance in future releases.

Whats interesting, is that the same games have the issuek in the same places. It's not random, some games do not load at all. Like Asura's Wrath, and Syndicate, others work fine, like FF13-2. It's weird.

Well I got confirm from #FreeStyledash that the connectX plugin has speed issues right now and is capped at 2 mB/s as of now, so some games will not stream or load properly.
