Not Possible: Tough Request: Windows Mobile 5 For i-Mate Pocket PC Phone Edition

I just recently was given a i-Mate Pocket PC Phone Edition with Windows Mobile 2003, and I'd like to upgrade it to Mobile 2005, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

So if anyone has a copy or knows where to get one, can you let me know????

Doesn’t really provide much information about it though.

I don’t really know a lot about windows mobile, but from what I gather each mobile needs a rom image specially designed for it?

Thanks, M8, though I have that link bookmarked already. Those are all Windows Mobile 2003 versions, and the only one I can use is the Telstra one You can actually close this thread now too, as I've given up finding a replacement/upgrade to the Telstra ROM.

And you are right, the ROMs are for one particular model only and if a telco has had their shit hardwired into the mobile, you're stuck.
