Typhoon 2001
Typhoon 2001 is a freeware remake of the hit atari jaguar game tempest 2000. For you that do not know what that was, imgaine the classic game of tempest only with bright pschedilic visuals, a kicking soundtrack, and powerups. Now amp that by about a factor of 5 and you got typhoon 2001. It even has a level editor included!
A few notes about the game:
-hit enter/return on your keyboard to access settings
-There's sopem controls for enabling various options. This includes what I dubbed vomit mode where the screen rotates around the claw instead of the claw moving around the screen. If you have no idea what i am talking about hit f5 while playing
-To run in vista/win 7: right click the shortcut/exe and go to properties. In the compatibility tab make sure to set the compatibility mode to xp and click the option to disable desktop composition. It will not run unless you do this!
