Unsync/Unpair Xbox 360 Controller

Had this issue for a little while now, When my Xbox 360 controller turns on the player 1, 2 and 4 parts light up it completely ignores 3. I have thought unsyncing it and re-syncing it could fix the issue but I can't seem to find a way to do that and purchasing a new controller now can be very costly
