Waffle Iron or Deep Fat Fryer?

Its a difficult choice any student has to make, a Waffle Iron or a Deep Fat Fryer. If you were a student living in halls/house, what would you choose and why?

I'm all for waffles but would say a deep fat fryer would probably be more useful. Just make sure you use it properly. I don't think Student Halls would like being burnt down. Then again maybe the fire alarms could go off for a real reason next time!

I LOVE French Fries so i would get a deep fryer.

Wait is it a deep FAT fryer or just a deep fryer because I'm veggie and deep fryers can use vegetable oil
