What is the latest built of windows 8 and does it have the blades and activated and xbox live on it.

i believe it is 8172 but i cant say for sure and i dont think it has xbl

Need help just burned the windows 8 preview on to disk and the files aint loading any one know why.

Windows Metro Style Apps Developer Downloads I downloaded the files here. I use power iso to burn it to disk and when rebooting it says loading files but then just loads to windows 7.

Change 1st boot device to your dvd drive in bios and save it,restart the computer with the disc in and it will start.

Yea thanks got it working there was a file missing on the disk. I only have the preview but looking at it. It looks good trying to get used to it at the mo i keep using the search cos i cant find anything. I just hope i can update from this to a newer version when it comes out.

Come on, it's not that hard. You need to make yourself familiar with the future OS which I was using way back September. Beta will be released February 2012 we have already hit 818X series of the Windows 8 development.

The latest official pre-release copy is Milestone 3 build 8102 (Windows Developer Preview) We are currently at 818X which is a pretty big leap in development. The Windows 8 Beta might be compiled next week.

I'll try, usually, there's always someone to post it before me Beta is expected to be compiled late this week and distributed at CES 2012 JAN/FEB 2012. Beta will contain many more features and will be closer to the final release.

The Windows 8 Beta has been compiled. Will be distributed around CES 2012 apparently should follow the same steps as Windows Developer Preview.
