my mates intentionally gonna rrod his xbox so he can get new xbox any ideas?

well a good way to do that is to put tooth picks in the fan so they wont spin causes it to overheat the towel trick works also to overheat them. one of my fav to kill any electronic with a network port is to take a wall plug and a network cable cut them in half and wire them together, then plug the network side into the to xbox or motherboard laptop what ever you are doing it to and then plug the wall side into power I would do it by the breaker box so you can kill the power and re flip the breakers if needed

it should take about 30-45 min to over heat

ya pretty much about 99% of RRoD is from heat

its from the heat warping the board and causing the solder joints to get micro cracks in it and lose connection

Also does the new slim not shutdown when it gets too hot?
