    Home, the way you want it

    Home has a new look and feel that’s faster and more personalized than ever.

    See your recent activities at a glance and move quickly between Home, My games & apps, and social features. Discover new things to do on Xbox Live that are tailored to your games and interests. Add your favorite games, friends, and more to your Home screen, making it easier to keep up with what you care about.

    New and improved guide

    The new layout lets you fly through tabs with the left stick or bumpers instead of moving in and back out of vertical tabs. Use the new flyouts to get into deeper levels of detail right in the guide.

    Game DVR enhancements

    Capture game clips and screenshots directly to an external hard drive, which you can then plug into a PC for and find them easily Broadcast & capture tab in Guide

    More competition

    Join Xbox Arena tournaments right from the guide and increase the competition with new tournament options for World of Tanks, Injustice 2, and Halo Wars 2.

    Go big

    Share and view game clips and screenshots in a new, immersive, full-screen view.

    Broadcast yourself

    Now you can use a regular USB webcam to broadcast yourself alongside your gameplay on Mixer – and do it in 1080p resolution on any Xbox One.

    And in the Mixer hub, preview broadcasts so you can see what you like before joining.

    Get ready for Xbox One X

    We’ve introduced new options to help save time when moving from one Xbox One to another, so you can get back to playing faster.

    Existing Xbox One owners can back up their key settings to an external drive, so that they’re ready be applied to the new Xbox during setup. You can also transfer your favorite games to an external drive so they’re ready to play right away on your new Xbox.

    If you don’t have an external hard drive, you can use your home network to transfer games from one console to another.

    And if you have 4K games, download 4K content ahead of time using an external drive or your home network so that you’re ready to go on day one.

    Xbox One Enhanced games

    Xbox One X Enhanced games are optimized to take full advantage of the world’s most powerful console. They’re easy to find in the Store, and you can sort and filter them in your games and apps.

    Xbox Assist

    The new Xbox Assist app provides personalized tips and help, smart notifications, community tips, and troubleshooting tools.

    Get tips from the community for the games you play, including help with achievements. View the status of Xbox Live services and apps, tackle issues early with predictive notifications, browse help topics, and quickly resolve issues with intelligent troubleshooters.

    To find your Xbox One console’s operating system version:

    • Press the Xbox button to return to Home.
    • Press the Menu button and select Settings (or select Settings on the Home screen).
    • Select System.
    • Select Console info.
    • Your operating system version is the third row down.
    • Note If you’re in the middle of a system update and need to find your operating system version on your console, pull both triggers and both bumpers on the controller. The operating system version is listed as Build and is the second line down.
