Xbox One System Update Archive Downloads

For anyone still wanting to archive these in their personal collections I've started uploading everything to the Internet Archive to offer an alternate download source.

After that has finished I will then re-seed all the torrents again. Some of the later update packs still do have seeds I see, which is great! however some of the earlier ones seem to have died off since I last seeded them.

Hopefully that will give anyone looking for these updates in the future a couple of ways to download these.

Apologies we can't keep hosting these directly on Digiex, however at least they are archived and will be available again by other means.

I have old xbox one with faulty hdd and this firmware. I'd like to keep the older firmware there in case software exploit will ever get found.

The latest public system update can always be downloaded here: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/hardware-network/console/offline-system-update

It might however be a waiting game until the public system update available for download is newer than the insider update the Xbox has installed.

Hello!

I have an original Xbox One that has a dead HDD and the OS version 10.0.17133.2020. The OSU2 or OSU1 update procedures do not work and even the update from the following month does not work. The update attempt immediately fails. Unfortunately no data can be extracted from the original drive. If anyone can provide the April 2018 update so I can build a fresh HDD, that would be fantastic! I'd hate for this barely used Xbox to become eWaste.

Specifically, the OS Version displayed in recovery mode is: 17133.2020.amd64fre.rs4_release_xbox_dev_1804.180418-1415

No you can't downgrade, you can only install the same version or upgrade to a newer version.

Hey InsaneNutter, it looks like there are 0 seeds for the 2020 torrent. Would you be able to re-seed that? I want to grab specifically these two:

• 10.0.19041.4172 (rs_xbox_release_2008.200921-1330)
• 10.0.19041.4981 (rs_xbox_release_2010.201009-0000)

It's seeming like a fool's errand more and more, but I am currently trying to resurrect an xbox one "prototype" which has come into my possession. It's currently on 19041.4379.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2010.201018-0000, which I'm not sure if you or anyone you know ever archived a 19041.4379, but ideally that's the actual OSU I'm looking for if it ever was archived. I did see some other members mention that same specific version on the October 2020 OSU thread. Or potentially a 19041.4655. Right now, turning this prototype on, or trying to reset it (reset all/keep apps) eventually culminate in a "It's time to update / Checking for updates..." screen. I previously tried to let it connect to the internet to see what would happen, and the entire prototype's HDD gets wiped if I connect to the internet (I had HDD backups which I was able to restore after finding this out), so connecting to Internet is out of the question. I'm hoping there is some way to get by this annoying forced update attempt through an OSU, but I don't think I can just grab a new(er) OSU either as that hits a E101 00000507 8B050076 (Hardware Deprecation Error), so it really seems like my potentially only hope is finding the current version's OSU or a compatible "close-enough" one (maybe 19041.4981 if I am able to download it). Thanks.

I'm dumb, didn't realize I had to be logged in to download from IA lol. Let me try those 2 first and report back (most likely only shot is 10.0.19041.4981 since I don't think I can OSU to an older version). As for the lore on the prototype, there are indeed quite a few stickers on the exterior of the prototype, and I was able to backup all partitions of the prototype, but I've been so fixated on getting it to actually fully boot I haven't sifted through much of those details yet.

I had some luck but I would say as of now, not enough luck to actually move forward. Thanks to your uploads, I was able to update the Console OS a few times, but ultimately, it seems my prototype is in a state that OSU or Reset alone will not resolve. It is interesting that after each upgrade, the Console OS still differed from the intended OSU version that you had listed on the archives, maybe this is common knowledge for prototypes/insider program xbox? Not really too sure.

I started on:

• OS Version: 19041.4379.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2010.201018-0000

After update to 10.0.19041.5082 (rs_xbox_release_2010.201102-1500) it changed to:

• OS Version: 19041.4402.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2010.201023-1840

After update to 10.0.19041.5496 (rs_xbox_release_2011.210105-1930) it changed to:

• OS Version: 19041.4788.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2011.201111-0000

And then after update to 10.0.19041.6287 (xb_flt_2102vb.210205-1815) it finally changed to the same version:

• OS Version: 19041.6287.amd64fre.xb_flt_2102vb.210205-1815

Finally, attempting to upgrade to 19041.6736 resulted in the dreaded deprecated hardware error meaning I can’t perform that OSU any further after 10.0.19041.6287. While I am happy I was able to complete 3 updates, I wish I had a better lead on identifying what has caused this prototype to always check for updates as the final step of reset/update. For now, I'm probably stuck/bricked again, but at least I have another data point from those 3 updates.
