Jessenic is aware of the situation, sadly hes stuck on some sort of trip without a laptop until the weekend.
Service will resume then, I spoke to him last night and tried to apply an emergency fix though it didn't work.

I've just got word the patched version is now pushed and ready for live download!

All current versions will work again and prompt to download an update.
Its important that everyone updates as soon as possible because on the 30th of October system in place for the old versions (b63 and below) will no longer function.

This is fixed now. Everyone updating and downloading now should receive build 64. If so, all is good!

A very silly question for a simple reason: If it did, we wouldnt admit it here would we if you think about it?

However, I'm glad to say it doesnt. On the bukkit forums some guys network sniffed it and confirmed it doesn't. If you don't trust us then don't use it, however I can ensure you thousands of players enjoy it problem free. Feel free to packet sniff it and check if you want.

Run the official client first and check it works, then try the launcher again.
You need to have a paid for Minecraft Account - This launcher isnt designed for piracy and runs the same checks as the official client.

I have downloaded the version for Mac Os X from the digiex launcher but, it doesn't work.
It seems to crash when begin to launch and closes without make nothing.

Anyone have the same problem ?

Try the jar version, it should work on all platforms.
