a problem starting a game in virtual machine 98se

After I installed the virtual pc I have found that all activity on the web brouser (IE-8 or firefox, I use firefox the most) stops unless I keep the mouse moving all the time. The brouser will not update or change pages and downloads and upload won't complete unless the mouse is moving. The same thing is happening with video and audio from YouTube. The mouse has to be moving for YouTube. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happing? The laptop is working 100% ok otherwise.

98se is running just fine in the virtual machine. But when I try to start the 1942 arcade game I get the following error message. Then I have to restart the virtual machine.


virtual pc has disabled live resolution switching.

the guest operating system has changed the resolution. some programs require a specific resolutions to run properly. in order to maintain compatibility, virtual pc has disabled live resizing of the virtual machine window until the virtual machine restarts.

How to I fix this?

I fixed this problem by del and reinstalling FireFox.
