In April 2021, Aurora and FreeStyle Dash started crashing on Jtag / RGH Xbox 360 consoles when they downloaded title assets such as cover art. Aurora Crash Patcher by Ste1io is a small plugin that stops the crash, so you can keep using your dashboard as before. It checks for an updated Aurora or FSD and disables itself when it finds one, so it is safe to leave installed.

Tip: it is most useful if you are still on FreeStyle Dash or an older Aurora. The source code is at https://github.com/Ste1io/AuroraCrashPatcher and is released under the Unlicense.
Update: later Aurora releases fixed the crash themselves.

- Supports consoles on older dashboards as well as the current 17559 dashboard.
- Does not load if the console is booted with the disc tray open, so original Xbox games can run.
Installing it:
- Copy AuroraCrashPatcher.xex to your console's hard drive, as you would any other plugin.
- Set it as a plugin in DashLaunch, or add it to launch.ini yourself.
- Reboot the console.
