Hello;

I boughht a 500 gb hdd for a xbox two mouths ago in www.aliexpress.com
The hdd worked perfectly during one month, but yesterday, when I went to play, xbox didn´t recognize the hdd.I connect it to PC and I used hddhackr to try recover it. When the program (in msdos) detected the disk I could see it had the same information that the file hddss.bin of 500gb (only change the serial number) but when i tried flash the drive, it appeared the message "DRQ ERROR:0x0815" after the green message "Sectors 16-22 rewritten successfully"

I tried MS-DOS method and Windows method but the results are similars. with a usb pendrive for msdos method

My question, Is the drive broken?

P.D:If I format the drive in my PC "apparently" works perfectly.

When you say "apparently" works perfectly on the PC, does it e.g. you can copy files to / from the drive.

You need to use the undo.bin to restore the drive to its factory settings before flashing the drive again, the problem you have is you will not have an undo.bin file. If you look at the sticker on the drive it should give you the make / model of it. You might find someone has posted a Hddhackr Undo.bin here for the model if your drive.

If so then you can use that to undo the hack, then re hack the drive with the 500gb security sector and see if it then works again in the Xbox 360, presuming the drive actually works ok on the PC to copy files to / from.
