Hey guys,

Most of you most likely know this already however It's just a heads up, Those of you who obtained the Gears of War 3 BETA illegitimately, Your most likely going to face an online ban from Gears of War 3, Seen lots of people on various forums as well as xbox.com post about themselves getting banned and that was the reason.

Bought Gears of War 3 today, it's amazing. I was in the multiplayer beta, I got VIP access after someone i think it was InsaneNutter linked to this survey thing. I think it is legit right? I'm not banned so..
 
Yes your legit Klade, you have a code for the beta redeemed on your profile.

Have you actually got a source for Epic saying recently people are going to be banned? it appears stupid to me if true... punishing fans who just wanted to play the game early, and who have since purchased it to play online.

Also, that 'Beta Tester' award thing isn't showing up saying I participated in the beta. What a scam.

Well, when the XGD3 can be burned, i'll get back to you on that. If I can't play online because of something as trivial as this, i'm not paying 60 for it.

Not quite, that one still needs reflowed. Haven't gotten around to doing it as I don't have a heat gun. Was gonna go to a friends house to do it but either one of us just doesn't have enough time at the moment. My main 360 which turns out to have a BenQ got flashed and it's a Jasper (Which is odd, didn't know any Jaspers had Pre-Liteon). Figured I might as well go for the leaks when I can. :P Now I just have to worry about the paranoia of being banned until after November. lol
 
The BenQ drives are probably the easiest drives in the world to flash, you have a good one there. Most Jaspers do appear to have Liteon's i believe, when was your console manufactured?

There never was a ban wave last year so you could be good, then again that means Microsoft are over due one lol. Either way enjoy all the games that are bound to leak weeks early as they do every year.
 
^It's a known issue for many people (including me), and EPIC is releasing a patch sometime next month.

Proof of official word? I've been on the epic official forms, still no official word, they refuse to even reply or notify us that they are working on the console freeze bug and the beta unlocks issue.
 
Anything official? I don't know. I'm just repeating what somebody told me. I'll look for an article or something.
 
I haven't been banned (as far as I'm aware) :D Managed to get the game Wednesday, finished it on hardcore, took 9 hours and managed to find some cog tags and collectibles! Everything I unlocked during the beta I got. Also finished Casual Horde to wave 50 with some mates last night. All in all I'm very happy with the game. Expect a review soon and can't wait to play some more MP :) Even though there wasn't much in the Limited edition (compare to the second game) I'm still glad I bought it!
