About the game:

This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns. You’ll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, you’ll also get a chance to take out some aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan. You’ll be putting these weapons to the test against (or playing as in Versus) three horrific and formidable new Special Infected. You’ll also encounter five new “uncommon” common infected, including the terrifying Mudmen. Helping to take L4D’s frantic, action-packed gameplay to the next level is AI Director 2.0. This improved Director has the ability to procedurally change the weather you’ll fight through and the pathways you’ll take, in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match your performance. L4D2 promises a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience every time the game is played, custom-fitted to your style of play.

How to Install and Play:

Use this demo at your own risk in order to play this you have to crack your Steam using UnDead666's patch.

Again do so at your own risk, if you have a legit account you risk getting it banned from Steam. Its recommended to un install steam and remove any traces of it, then re install and create a new account.

DO NOT USE A LEGIT STEAM ACCOUNT WITH THIS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Copy the content from the "CRACK" folder into your Steam installation folder and run the Install and Launch batch file.

Open Steam

Launch the game using RUN_L4D2.exe"

There's a new Steam Client Beta update out:

Changelog:
- Improve the steam service update process
- Fix a case which could cause a decryption failure for newly released games
* - Fixes a crash when the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo starts
- Fix a rare crash on receiving a chat message from a user you don't know as a direct friend

To access the Beta, go to File -> Settings. On the Account tab press the Change... button to open the Beta Participation dialog. Then Select Steam Client Beta, and allow Steam to restart itself.

Also if you have problems try setting your date back to 29th October.

That should fix any problems you might encounter! ;)
 
Its the folder where Steam is installed e.g. C:\Games\Steam

So open My Computer, click the C: drive then find the Games\Steam folder.

I think its in program files by default.
 
Any ideas why the game is crashing during the last bit of the loading screen?
I was able to load the game just fine yesterday lol.. :|
 
I'm having issues wit this. Maybe because I'm stupid. I'm willing to admit that.

But whenever I try to launch and install the Undead patch it says "Undead Injector Cannot Be Installed" and it's running in my computer's processes.

I tried to run the game and it plays through the intro but then it crashes and says "No permission to run LFD2_exe" or whatever the file name is.

D:

What do I do!? Helpless little girl in need of computer assistance here!

Also, I don't seem to ave the option to change for Beta participation or whatever that is. It says that there isn't anything available.

I also used V6 of the Undead Patch which worked and patched me but just the same, when I go through and launch it, it says "No Permissions to run Left4Dead2".

EDIT AGAIN:

Okay I switched to Offline mode and I was able to get it passed the intro and to the Loading Screen for Single Player [The Parish of course] and right as it's about to finish loading, the whole thing just vanishes. No error or crash report, noting. Just POOF. NO LEFT 4 DEAD 2 FOR YOU. And it's getting frustrating. I just want to play. D:
 
Tried that. That didn't change anyting for me. It's still just closing out at the last bit of the loading screen.
 
it also did that for me as well. best thing to do is just delete it and download it directly from steam now. seeing how the demo is now available to everyone.
 
I thought you had to pay for the Demo. Like pre order the game and pay for it for the demo.
