Modded xbox 360 won't play mp4,wmv,avi

Hello,i tried to play videos from hdd on rgh xbox 360 that are in mp4,wmv,avi format,but i always get message that format isnt supported.I tried converting it perfectly with right audio format and everything,but its not working.I saw on this forum something like xmplayer,and i was wondering if that software could help me with this problem.Please help if you know how to fix it.Thanks im advance

I have video viewer and windows media only,so should i download the one you send me or xmplayer?
