Most of the ps5-payload-dev tools need somewhere to be sent, and this is it. ps5-payload-elfldr is an ELF loader for jailbroken PS5 systems. Unlike the loaders that come with the exploits, it uses the ptrace system call to bootstrap itself into the SceRedisServer process, then launches itself into a new process that keeps running in the background, even while you play a game, and starts again when the PS5 comes back from rest mode. Payloads run in their own processes, so the loader carries on if one crashes.

The file is elfldr-ps5.elf (394 KB). Version 0.26 is from 29 August 2026 and simplifies the makefile.

- Launch a kernel exploit that provides a basic ELF loader on port 9020, such as the BD-J ps5-payload-loader or the Webkit entry point.
- Send elfldr-ps5.elf to that port, for example with netcat: nc -q0 PS5_IP 9020 < elfldr-ps5.elf
- From then on, send payloads to port 9021 on the PS5.
