Xbox 360 Achievement Glitch?

So when I was playing MK vs. DC Universe, I got thru the story on the DC side but did not get the achievement for completing chapter 3. This also happened when I played Frontlines: Fuel of War. I completed a mission but did not get the achievement for it. Anyone know why this happens or what the cause is?

I'm not sure why this happens...Maybe some content or save data is corrupt. I got Crackdown DLC and then I went offline (got the DLC with my HDD and a friends 360) So when I played it, it would freeze. So I had to tap the A button repeatedly to start without freezeing. I played it and should have gotten 3 achievements but it didn't give 'em to me. Everytime I started Crackdown it would say the data is corrupt, so I deleted the DLC and when I started my game session, it gave me 3 achievements (the achivements it didn't give me before) You may be able to get them but you'd have to probably delete your gamesave and do it again.

That sucks. It's not really that big of a deal because they were only 10 or 15 point achievements, so not too important. I would do that for an achievement if it was like a 30 point or more achievement.

i also had a similliar problem, just this weekend, i completed an Act on Gears with Dom, i was supposed to get the Dom curious achievment, the achievment showed, as if i unlocked it, but when i looked at my gamerscore and achievements for Gears, it showed that i havent yet gotten the achievement....

That's very odd. I wish I knew why this happened. It's very annoying because it's like hey I earned that achievement let me have it!

I think it’s down to poor testing of the game, now a lot of 360’s owners have live games can be patched on a console for the first time, it’s not like on older consoles where to patch a game the disc / cartridge would have to be recalled so in my opinion games were tested a lot better back then.

I’ve got the same problem with Crackdown as Dark Scyth mentioned, for the DLC content pack to work I have to be signed in to live or it will think the DLC data is corrupt then it will not recognise my save game without me having the DLC, yet sign in to Xbox Live and the content and my save work perfectly, as much as I love Crackdown I’ve had nothing but problems with that game, when the DLC was first released it erased peoples saved games who purchased the content from the option in game then played co-op after... yep happened to me.

sometime the game runs an error and de xbox does not recognize the game and then you will not receive any achievements
