Xbox 360 Dashboard Update 2.0.16202.0 Download

System Software Changes:


  • Displaying the incorrect playlist name when launching a playlist from Xbox SmartGlass to the console[SUP][/SUP]
  • An error with Xbox Video closed-captioning[SUP][/SUP]
  • An error with Xbox Music that some were experiencing

How to install:

1.) Unrar the download
2.) Copy the $SystemUpdate folder to the root of a CD or USB Stick (The memory stick must be FAT or Fat32 formatted)
3.) Insert the CD or USB Stick into your Xbox 360 console.
4.) You will be automatically prompted to update with a USB stick, with a CD / DVD it should say Mixed Media Disc, power down the 360 and power it on again. You should be ask to update before the 360 boots to the dashboard.
5.) Once the update is complete your Xbox 360 will restart then boot up to the new dashboard. Enjoy!

Dosent Work's , downloaded the update to USB And Tried ... It was a big failure .. even with my 16197 Dash

you may wanna pay attention to the last line.im sure as many users with regular consoles comes here the same amount of ppl with modified ones comes too(including me).but since i dont use live and never used it before and never will in the future as well i may do the update as long as there is no reflash on drive.

when i Inserted USB Stick into my xbox 360 , nothing happened ,it didn't detect anything !! what should i do ??
 
Question... I have an older (fat/white) xbox 360, with an ANCIENT dashboard version. Its drive is flashed to play homebrew/backups - though I don't remember what version it is or what version its flashed with.

The console is banned, which is why the dashboard is so old. Can I upgrade using this USB method from a 1.0.xxxx version of Dashboard to 2.0.1xxxx version safely? or will it likely reflash my dvd drive and remove the mod for using backups ?


edit: I didn't realize it was possible to flash the dashboard this way, and so this xbox has been sitting here powered off for a very long time. I replaced it with a newer xbox when it got banned. Now if possible I'd like to upgrade the dashboard and maybe use it again. Even if I could play backups only without going online with LIVE. Thanks.
 
If the dashboard is so old then you can probably Jtag / RGH the console which would allow homebrew / emulators and games to be played from the hard drive.

Updating will re flash the console, however your current firmware and dashboard would not allow new games to be played either way so you need to do it regardless.
