[Xbox 360] How to inject into USB Flash Drive

i would recommend using modio and i recommend to use a bigger usb like 4gb/8gb/12gb/16gb/1tb

not no 1gb or 2gb

When I copy the extractions from the .iso file (World cup demo) and put them on the XBOX 360 the console says theres nothing on the USB.

And when I follow this guide and choose the "Open Device" the 0. (dir content) doesn't show up. I can only see two dots.

If i choose the "Choose manually" I get the same error as the user above. My OS is windows XP and I am the administrator so that doesn't solve the problem.

My USB is customized by the 360 and I got the acceptence of microsoft that the USB was supported so this is also not the problem.

I'm getting really confused and starting to really wonder if this actually even work..

I am having this same problem with the Crackdown demo and was wondering if anyone has a solution. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

U dl ur demo not an iso
if its a folder with like 45706F
drag that folder into Downloads
in modio on ur usb
then put ur usb in and there ur done

The directions posted in the initial post on this thread aren't working for me.

Initially wasn't getting anything when I clicked File -> Open device.

Then I did the following:

If you've found yourself without a "Content" or "0000000000000000" folder, then is because you've not saved anything to it yet via your Xbox 360. Therefore, you will need to manually create these folders.

Right click on desktop, hit New, New Folder. Title one "Content". Create another new folder Title it "0000000000000000". Now move folder "0000000000000000" inside folder "Content". Now move whatever game or demo folder inside folder "0000000000000000". Then inject it!

Now when I click File > Open Device I get 0.{dir}0000000000000000 despite putting that folder in the content folder. When I double click the 0000000000000000 folder all I have are the ".."

I can however seem to click the inject folder button then browse to where I have the demo saved to.

The program now seems to be not responding (though this was mentioned in the instructions. However what is throwing me off is the fact that it says Done and there's an empty progress bar

Also Ive already put my USB drive into the 360 and it accepted it as a support drive and all that. Modio however is not showing it as a device.

Can you please clarify these instructions?

just reread the initial posts instructions.

At which point do we put the demo file onto the flash drive or even interact with the flash drive at all? The instructions as initially posted all appear to point to files stored on my computer.

Hmm...eventually the progress bar filled up and the program appeared to be responding again, however I took out the USB drive and as soon as I did I got a delayed write error...WTF? >_<

It sits there and does it's song and dance then eventually the progress bar fills up and another dir appears. I put my USB drive into the 360 and no demo. WTF!?

Also sometimes I get an Unhandled Exception error.

All I seem to be getting through this ordeal is unhandled exception errors and my 4GB usb stick being filled with ghost data. My understanding is that you are to find the demo file you downloaded and inject it into itself. How does THAT accomplish any form of putting it on the USB stick and making it playable on the 360

The only reason modio has it for USB is because they stole it from USBXTAFGUI, they stole an old outdated version (v6) now USBXTAFGUI is on version 32, though Modio can't steal it now, so its quite obvious that Modio's is old and outdated because they themselves don't know what the hell their doing and can only steal things and then charge money for it.

EDIT: If you already have the Content/0000000000000000 folders in your flashdrive then all you need to go is Unrar the Crackdown 2 demo (if you haven't) then after that go into USBXTAFGUI (download beta 31 don't use modio as its an outdated piece of sh!t). Open up USBXTAFGUI as administrator if your using Windows 7 or Vista. After that click inject folder and then find where you unrared the Crackdown 2 game, inject those folders, not just the game its self (the folders that crackdown is in). Your computer may seem likes its taking a long time to transfer the demo, just be really patient or you could try to restart your computer, sometimes that helps with USB transfer speeds.

crackdown 2 demo inject usb

i got problmes with the crackdown2 demo. i used the demo file from this site, the USBXTAFGUI_v32BETA2.exe from xbox-scene and a 2GB usb drive (without a label windows vista hardware manager says its usb2.0).
i followed the instrucions and everything seems fine until the demo starts and my xbox360 (hdmi-arcade with 60GBHDD) freezes.
the first time i denied the update download and it froze, second time i did the title update and it froze with the information i should clean my disc!
everytime i got to see some seconds of the beginig microsoft and crackdown intros

anyone got an idea ?

ps. i didnt download the demo on xbox, because i live in germany and thanks to our youth protecion, Microsoft decided not to publish the game or anything related to it in germany.

ps EDIT:
cant copy the demo from usb to hdd. read that propably the usb drive is to slow. think i got no alternativ to burning and waste some dvdr

I just used this for the first time to play Kinect Fun Labs And it worked perfectly. (Thanks!). Does this mean this injection method can be used for any xbox live downloadable content? I have no access to xbox live and no jtag.

Yes you can inject anything, Demos are the most popular content people inject.

You can not use this to pirate games / dlc, yes you can inject it however DLC generally will not work (with a few exceptions) unless your console has purchased it from live.
