Indeed that's why its called a public preview, most stuff like this on live is more to find out how it works in a real world environment i imagine. And of course to create hype for something new by letting a select number of people have early access.

There is a survey on the left hand side to re-submit your Gamertag if you don't have access or maybe they haven't got round to you yet.

Yeah, I was hoping to get in the beta program. I signup to Connect last time there was a beta program and got in with no problems. This time it was like some big fackin' secret, waiting for a Major Dick invite and God knows what else. Total bullshit.
Which admins do I submit to? I'm lost, I don't understand

Normally, it is self voluntery through connect.microsoft.com/xboxliveupdate The registration was closed over a week and a half ago, Microsoft are not able to email everyone on XBL to inform them. Basically, you can't get into the program unless someone else who has access on more than one account submits your console info.

Here's the response I got from Xbox Customer Support;

-Thank you for contacting online support for XBOX. I'm Mike and I'll be assisting you today.
- As I understand, you want to be a beta tester for the fall update. Don't worry, I'll do my best to assist you with this issue.
-The offers to be part of the beta tester for the Fall update has long been closed. The beta Fall update can no longer be downloaded whatever we try to do.
