If you own a Zune player or a Windows Phone 7 handset, the Zune software is what you plug it into. It's Microsoft's media player and device manager: it plays and organises your music, video and podcasts, syncs them to the device, and is the front end to the Zune Marketplace.
Download:
Download Zune Software 4.8
This is version 4.8.2345.0, with installers for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. Open the x86 or x64 folder to match your Windows and run the installer in it. In the x64 folder the big zune-x64.msi is the player itself, and the small zune files named for languages are language packs.
Tip: not sure which Windows you have? Right-click Computer, choose Properties, and System type tells you.
Update: This turned out to be the last Zune release. The Zune Marketplace and Zune Pass have since closed, so the store features no longer work; local playback and syncing do.
