Ok I am accepted for the Xbox Live Beta Program Can I apply InsaneNutter's Upload and still get on LIVE?? and can you post a video of you on LIVE now with the new Dashboard?

It would be impossible to post a video of a video of someone on live with this update as the preview doesn't start for 2 weeks. Posting a video just to prove to you that it will indeed work is a bit much, you can either believe the people here and try it or wait for November for the official update.

Really hope someone can help us out, My son downloaded and installed the offered dashboard update (2010) and ever since he is unable to connect to xbox live, now i see my reading that you would lose the chat, but we have lost all. Spoke with xbox tech support and they got us to check the router settings, and they were as normal as before, i explained to them that live was working well and has been so for the past 10 months. The error is since installing the dashbord update. We even called BT to check that our porst are open as Xbox tech support said its a problem with your ISP. - clearly not!..

We have also registered the box under the beta program, but still no xbox live ??

The beta program isn't active yet, until it is you can't connect to LIVE. Should be active here within a week or two. I personally updated mine as well and can't connect to LIVE either. So the sooner the better for me.

Dont bother, as you will also lose live - updated from tech support is when you install the BETA updated dashboard you will be blocked until they manually unblock you, in order to get manually unblocked you need to register for the beta testing. my case has now been escalated and we are waiting to be un-blocked,,,,,,,

Tech support is likely reading off a script and have no idea about the Kinect dashboard that leaked, formatting the hard drive will do nothing, you can not get rid of this update.

if you all still dont understand when you update it blows a efuse and when it updates the ldv in flash changes too so if you can get your original nand back, then have fun trying to connect a piece of wire about 10 times smaller than one human hair.

That is if your console is Jtagged and the resistor isn't removed, don't scare people into thinking that a regular 360 will suffer the same consequences.

Microsoft Tech is pretty bad and know pretty much nothing about the product for the most part. So getting help for something like this is almost impossible. If you did get into the actual preview read the comment below after the quote. If you installed the beta update without getting into the beta you'll be able to connect when the official update comes out in November.

If you would of just read earlier comments you would know the answer as it has been said multiple times (it just makes it less of a clutter). If you are accepted into the preview you will indeed be able to connect to live sooner then when its officially out. Within the next 2 weeks just randomly try to connect to Xbox Live, if it says a system update is required to connect to live, then update and access to Live will be regained.

Just for those wondering, even if you got into the preview beta, it won't restore the ability to connect to live on this version .. I'm in and just tried installing this on my 2nd box and it just keeps failing to connect so I'm guessing gonna have to wait until the official to get it back online. It might be because its a diff console id than the other one I signed up on but its definitely not going by just gamertag only. Hopefully the version that was just released today (.12567) has online and can be uploaded

That would be why. In order to have access to live with the preview/beta one must have their Console ID added to the list of 360's that can go online, not their gamertag.

I'm guessing the question that you are asking is (as this is a poorly detailed question) That you have two 360's one is a slim,while the other is premium original. I'm also assuming that the only reason why you would ask this question is because you use a profile/gamertag on both consoles.

If I did guess correctly then no your slim would not be affected by the update and you would still be able to use the profile on both consoles. If I did not guess correctly, then please make the question more detailed.

Yes, you guessed correcty but if I update my 360 premium will I still be able to connect to live? Also I use different profiles for each xbox.

Hi , My stupid son has updated MY xbox360 with this kinect update, Now i can't get online Or play my media on my network through my xbox 360. Is there any way i can put things back to normal or some kind of factory reset?
