If a Bold, Curve or Torch is still your phone, BlackBerry Desktop Software is how it talks to a Windows PC. It backs up and restores the phone, syncs contacts and the calendar, moves music and pictures across and loads new device software. This is 7.1.0.42, a multilanguage installer for phones on BlackBerry OS 7.1 or earlier.

Run a backup before you load new device software. Phones on BlackBerry 10 use BlackBerry Link instead, so this isn't the one for those.
Update: BlackBerry switched off the legacy services for these phones on 4 January 2022, so anything that needs BlackBerry's own servers, such as fetching new device software, can't work now.
